This is a first for me, the other day I get a call from a lady who calls in saying she got a new laptop and it's working great. It was even deployed with IE11 which she liked since she was using IE9 on her old device. But then this exchange took place..
$Me: Service Desk, this is Pavix
$Her: Yea, I'd like to get Internet Explorer Pro on my computer
$Me: Umm, You want what installed?
$Her: IE Pro. I had it on my last computer, I just want it on this one too.
Policy is we keep the old devices for 2 weeks before wiping them and returning them to inventory. I boot up her old device, confirm it has regular old IE9 on it. So I launch IE on her old device, then msra into her new device to do a visual comparison. Then it hits me, part of our build process is to update the title bar so it reads "Internet Explorer Provided by $Hospital". It's stupid and I'm not sure why we bother, but when you resize IE on her old machine it reads "Internet Explorer Pro..."
I take some screenshots and send them to the lady explaining what she was seeing and what it meant, we both had a chuckle and went about our day.
