Long time reader, first time poster!
So, I work for an MSP, a smallfry one at that. Recently, user at one of our illustrious clients started a complaint.
"Please stop deleting my passwords."
We check our remote login history, and discuss among ourselves. Nobody touched this poor guys passwords. We shrug it off and move on.
About a week goes by and lo and behold another complaint. "Stop deleting my f*****g passwords!"
Now we're perplexed. We a bit of digging, and there's open discussion about whether it's a bug, or a virus, or an onsite prankster even.
Third times a charm... "If you can't understand English I'd be happy to write it out in Hebrew, STOP DELETING MY F*****G PASSWORDS!" (My boss is Jewish)
Now the manager is frantically disabling all unnecessary programs and services, in effort to alleviate this issue for which the user clearly blames us.
A little light goes off in my head... "Open his internet options... uncheck that box..."
