Howdy gang! Another brilliant display of derptitude to wrap the week up. For those of you who haven't suffered with me through my career, I'm currently a Desktop Tech for a labor union.

So, my company has an email address for Holiday Party announcements, rsvp, questions, etc.

I present my final call of the week.

Me: Helpdesk, this is YankeeNinja.

Derpette: Hi, this is Dr. Derpette. The email for the holiday party isn't working.

Me: Hmm... That's odd. Did you get some sort of bounce back error?

Derpette: Noooo. It's just not working. Can you remote in?

Me: Sure. What's your computer name?

(she gives me her host name and I connect)

Derpette: ok, so you see here, it says RSVP to [email protected]? well, when I go on the Internet, I can't get to that website to RSVP.

As my eyes roll into the back of my head, I try to keep my composure.

Me: Well, Doc, it seems that you didn't read the email fully. It says EMAIL [email protected]

Derpette: Oh. Well, I cant.

Me: Did you click reply?

Derpette: no, I couldn't reply because I can't get to that website.

I click reply in outlook.

Derpette: OH! That's all I had to do?

Me: Yes.

Derpette: Oh! That's so simple! You guys in IT are so smart.

Me: thanks, doc. Have a great weekend.

I proceed to hang up the phone, laugh, and promptly punch out.

This is a woman that is responsible for providing medical care to patients.

Glob help us all.

TLDR: Doctors are the "smartest" idiots in the world and are completely baffled by clicking reply in outlook.
