So, for those who don't know me, I'm a Level 1/2 Desktop Tech for a mid-sized ad agency.
Yesterday, Derpina calls for some hand holding....she clearly thinks she is a special snowflake...
Derpina: Ya, hi, YankeeNinja, when I go to (website), it isn't displaying the login screen. It's just showing this other screen. I don't know what to do!
I remote to her machine and ask for her to show me what's happening.
She proceeds to click the shortcut on her desktop which launches her browser and navigates to the website.
In surprising typical user fashion, I watch in horror as she moves the login window (remember kids, this was the very same login page that DID NOT LOAD) to the side and shows me the window behind it...the window that says, and I quote, "This window is used for launching (website) and can now safely be closed."
Derpina: "See, this is the window I was talking about."
Me: "Well, Derpina, you can close that window."
Derpina: "But, it was never there before."
Me: "It's ok to close it. It says so right in the box."
Derpina: "So, I can close it? Why is it there?"
