So, today, the glories of 6Sigma come to haunt me. I work for an MSP and all of our clients receive 6Sigma Reviews on the satisfaction of the handling of their tickets. Today, this happens.
/start rant
Ticket comes in from a CIO asking for a site to be white listed. Pretty simple. I login to the filter and add the site to the white list and close the ticket saying the request had been completed, and if he needed further assistance to let us know. Now, I see the review come in... "This was requested yesterday before noon and was not completed. Required a second request this morning to get the job done." Not only does this count against me for my Quality of Service (which directly affects my pay) but, as anyone that has 6Sigma knows, this could lead to a drop which could cost me a couple hundred bucks for something that I didn't do. What's more is, the first tech that handled the issue did the same thing I did and received NO response from the CIO that this wasn't completed. It always baffles me how you can do your job, do it well, and still fall short of the goals the client has. >.<
