i work on an airline call centre, this guy called to upgrade his seat. his flight was bound to take off tomorrow, so itās taking me some time to confirm it because i needed to confirm with the airport team that the seat he wanted is not yet taken. i clearly told him after i got his card information to kindly stay on the line since it might take some time but every 4 to 5 damn seconds, he shouts āHello?!ā on the phone.
I assured him that I wonāt hang up and Iām here. he then talked to someone who was with him and they all laughed about how slow the process was. i heard him say, āwhat the fuck is wrong with (insert my country)? that 3rd world country sucks those people suck they look like forest peopleā and both of them laughed so hard. i was so mad i was so kind to him and why would he say that to someone who was helping him?
i immediately told him that āthanks for holding, itās all done, thanks for calling, bye!ā even though i havenāt confirmed everything yet. i just did that to get rid of him on the phone. but of course, i upgraded his seat, only after 15-ish minutes.
