I remember this is the lyrics of the national anthem of ROC ,i am sorry for my hand writting as i have not written traditional chinese word for years, i am not a Taiwanese, in my family my mom is the only one has a ROC passport, but she actually wasn't born in Taiwan, i went to Taiwan in the late 90th and I lived and studied there for 5 years and i stayed and worked for 2 year, so I missed it very much, i know many people probably don't like this lyrics, i remember that time i first heard about this national anthem was in the thethere in the university, and has a very cool, animated background, in the late 90th it was a lot of political debate , the ownerships and the independent of Taiwan and the ROC system always the centre of the debate, but which shows Taiwan has changed, from a party state controlling society turning into a free speech, democracy country, the first year I was there, the former justice minister quite his job, and he later became a professor and i had the chance met him(with hundreds of others) and listen to his speech in the classroom in a university ( i wasn't the students of that school), and funny part was in 2003 before I left Taiwan, i also had a close distance to meet the former mayor of Taipei and he became the first president from an opposition party in ROC, i think this was my story to tell people i met two president in such a close distance when i lived in Taiwan .As a foreigner i really like how the society is very open minded and genuinely persuing freedom and democracy, but also very law abiding and stand on justice and morality , lately the former president Mr Ma said he would not attend the double Ten ceremony due to the current government changed the the name of ROC into "Taiwan national day" , i would say, ROC mean republic of China, but everyone in the world knows now there is only one China , is the communist China and ROC doesn't represent China , but Taiwan. And this ROC government is represented Taiwanese and it is nothing wrong to call Taiwan national day because the people who form and adopt this ROC government are Taiwanese, are from this island nation, they are the people who built this country, if you still call it Chinese national day , people outside of Taiwan would think that Chinese is the PRC ,so it would create confusion, people from all around the the world all know there is only one China, everyone acknowledge the China we talk about it, is that China, the PRC .Atually the time when ROC rules China mainland, Taiwan wasn't even under it's reign, Mr Ma should be grateful that now Taiwanese still willing to adopting the ROC name and used the system, well which is part of the history from the past, but the future is determined by the people who lives in this island, so it is kind of childish of what i thought of his decision, now is the time to show united and solidarity to stand and protect the land and the value of what the people who fought for, and refused to attend the national day is surely unnecessary, didn't he forget he was name " the new Taiwanese" era when he was running the president ? Now is the time to pick a side, everyone knows Taiwan isn't part of China, even I live in Canada my neighbor knows where is Taiwan, so this coming double Ten day is national day of ROC ,and surely is the national day of Taiwan, because the ROC government is Taiwanese, simply enough.
