I read on the tails webpage that for macs and tails to have working wi-fi, an external wifi dongle was needed; this one in particular was top of the list:

I assume that using this external wifi receiver dongle with tails (4.5 - latest i believe) both on usb, should solve the problem that i am having where my wifi doesn't even show as an option when tails has booted..

and the mac-spoofing doesn't seem to make a working difference either...

Has anybody had success using tails on usb with a similarly aged macbook air? or even with a macbook in general??

OR

Is it much easier/more reliable to just get myself a burner windows laptop/notebook??
