Stupid question about changing the date

I bought a Formula 1 at the start of the month, absolutely love it, but I have a really stupid question to ask.
When I’m changing the date, how does the watch know whether it’s A.M or P.M? I’m worried the date might start changing at noon rather than midnight. Stupid I know but it’s got me thinking.
