Now before you start typing that I need to save up and get a ballistic rated not Chinese helmet, listen to my use case.

I'm looking to add a helmet to my kit to run during combat rifle matches to protect my head from some of the small impacts and falls I may have going through obstacles. I also want to get into night vision eventually and attach other accessories.

So I'm not really worried about having a true ballistic rating but I would like something a little more than an airsoft helmet.

I've been looking at the deals that I'm pretty sure are Chinese knockoffs that say they are ballistic but we all know aren't. I want to keep it under $300, does this seem like a reasonable route to take based on what I plan to use it for? and if so, has anyone else done this and/or where should I look for a very budget helmet?
