Hi folks, I just bought this backpack to replace Helikon’s Raccoon MK2 as my EDC bag. I needed extra space and this was just about enough compared to my previous option.
The Dragon Egg was on my wishlist for a long time because I love Helikon stuff and I want to support them as a business.
However, after one day of having the Dragon Egg on me I noticed an issue that nobody else mentions anywhere, and it’s related to comfort / shoulder straps.
The straps themselves are well padded and provide a lot of cushion for the shoulders, however, the quick release buckles sit EXACTLY in your armpit, or where your pectoral muscles would meet your biceps. The buckles rub against the arms when I walk and it’s just one of those situations where you “know” you have the backpack on you. I just can’t not think about it.
Did anyone else notice this?

Yea, no idea… I’m 6’7” and 240 pounds and I guess it’s just not for my build. Shame because I never noticed an issue with the Helikon Raccoon.
