I got fired for calling out after a disaster of a shift. I was one of the best employees there and now most of the people in the store are quitting.
Post Body

Backstory: My store is less than a block away from a high school and my GM scheduled only 3 people for the night of homecoming. I was tasked to take orders while my manager made the food. The other person didnt want to help with drive because they "have 2 jobs and were tired of taking orders all day" so they did dishes. I'm almost always on line and only done drive thru like 4 times. Anyways we had about 40 cars throughout an hour and it was super stressful until another manager came in to help. That night when i got off i texted my GM i was calling out the next day. He said that if i dont come in he'll think of it as me resigning. Well i came in but decided to leave 2 hours early, later in the day i find out i was taken off the schedule. I was confused so i asked the GM why and he said i was fired. Fast forward to next week, the manager i was working whith that day put in his 3 weeks but GM fired him before he could finish them. Now a couple months later, i learn that 7 people quit.

Funny thing is that my GM would always brag about how he ran the store compared to the others. Now look at the shit he got himself into lol.
