The sauce itself is pretty good. Maybe not as eye poppingly fantastic as this sub has led me to believe, but it's really nice. It's creamy with a distinct spicy flavor. However a dollar for just a little dollop of it in a sauce cup is ridiculous. I hope they rectify that if they decide to add it to the menu.
The volcano items they use it on (the taco and the burrito) are just ok. Not bad, but overpriced and the lava sauce in the burrito is barely noticeable over the sour cream.
I'd love it if they kept it around as an optional upgrade like they do with the rest of the sauces. But I'm guessing they'd rather use it as a marketing tool through LTOs
