EDIT:: Apparently there is a huge problem when soliciting work of plagiarists and scammers DMing offers using stolen artwork. Stop.
I've decided to redo the original cover art I illustrated for my military sci-fi series of novels, so I'm looking for an artist to create 5 covers to start, with more down the road. The fact is, I would like to continue doing my own covers, but I'm not skilled enough at mechanical subjects \to communicate a professional product, which is possibly hampering my sales.
The prompt is basically "these covers, but better and with your own spin" for the first four, and the ones after that will be original works. If you are interested, and have existing example work of mechs and mecha, please reply with a price quote and a link to your existing work in this genre. If you do not have existing mechs/machinery work, please do not reply.
The following parameters also apply
- Do not direct message me. Post a link to your portfolio in the thread.
- All illustrations need to be landscape format and designed to a book cover template with an exciting front cover featuring one or more mechs in action scenes, and a primarily environmental or landscape rear cover
- Art needs to be in a rendered, painterly style, similar to the existing covers. Not anime or cartoon-styled.
- Cover elements and typography are not part of the commission, only artwork. However, artwork needs to take placement of title text and cover elements into account.
- Full ownership transfer to me, though you are free to use the work for your website or portfolio after I've done official cover reveals
- Thumbnails and roughs to be approved for each cover before the final illustrations are started.
- Experience creating book covers is a plus, but not required
