My TENS device only has intensity levels from 1 to 50 but does not display the current in mA. The customer support doesn't want to tell me because it's their proprietary information. So I want to measure the current with a multimeter.
In another post, someone wrote that this is not possible because the multimeter would only measure the average current, but I want to know the peak current of a given intensity level.
The parameters:
- Wave form: Biphasic rectangular
- pulse width: 50 - 250 ยตs
- pulse frequency: 1 - 150 hz
I can adjust pulse width and frequency.
Can I measure the current with a multimeter? I would be very grateful for an answer!
Thanks for your answer. I wonder if length of the cable has a considerable effect on the resistance, because the length of the cable with the multimeter in the circuit is somewhat bigger than the lenght without the multimeter.
So finally the measured current would be somewhat smaller than the current that flows through me body without the multimeter, because I think my TENS device is voltage controlled and not current controlled.
What do you think?
