HPE Servers - Horrible Quality
Post Body

I've always had a few issues here and there with new HPE servers, but...

Holy crap - recently I have a zero percent success rate in:

  • opening a brand new ProLiant server box
  • connecting to iLO
  • Running the latest SPP (Spervice Pack for ProLiant)
  • Installing OS with "Intelligent Provisioning"

Literally, that's it. Out of the box, the last three have had non-hardware issues that have held me up for DAYS. The last one resulted in a service call where I had to manually update firmwares first before SPP would run. The most recent one will not run without freezing up at the startup POST screen or freezing in Intelligent Provisioning.

What the hell, HPE?

</rant over>
