Migrating AD to cloud 100%

I was wondering if anyone has accomplished this task? We are looking to migrate our AD from our on-prem environment and host it entirely in the cloud.
Our only use case is user authentication to their workstations and GPO.
I know Azure has a cloud AD offering but I was wondering if anyone has successfully migrated 100% into the cloud from on prem AD?
