I posted a question a while back about this, asking if others had seen issues like this, but this time it's just a rant.
One of my DL 580 Gen 10s at work (technically not mine lol) has died, yet again. This particular server has died twice since we got it about a year ago. One time they came out and replaced a DIMM. One time they came out and replaced the mainboard.
This time, I don't even know what's wrong with it. The AHS is showing Machine Check Exceptions on processors 1, 2 and 3. The HPE techs don't know what part to fix it, since procs 1 and 2 are on the mainboard but 3 and 4 are on a daughterboard. One tech is claiming it has to do with a memory module being bad, but since the memory is all installed in equal amounts across the 4 cartridges I don't see how that's even possible. It's now been about 20 hours since I opened the case (and we have 4 hour response warranties) and HPE is just scratching it's collective head and not knowing what to do.
Anyway, I just had to rant for a minute.
