Just wanted to share that Barracuda's cloud control which is the cloud service that in many cases is where MX records are pointed when using Barracuda email firewalls was causing us up to 3 hour email delays. From large senders like hotmail / Gmail, the delay is still large.
Here's the response so far from their support desk:
"Hello this is Brett from Barracuda Support. We had an outage with the Email Security Service and our Cloud Protection Layer this afternoon. At this time I do not have all the details as to the exact nature of the issue but currently services are returning to normal and should be up and running at this point. We will continue to monitor the service for stability and reliability to insure that the issue is resolved. We will send out further updates as they become available. "
