So, I've finally begun my descent into the hell of driver sprawl and managing.

For at least Dell and HP since they're what we use most (some Lenovo too I guess), what's the suggested way to balance automated pulling of drivers from their websites with then storing them locally so avoid downloading them from the manufacturer every time unless necessary?

I know the Dell Command has some flags for local repository stuff, how are there any decent how-tos online for how I should be configuring it to say "look here for the drivers you need before you go online, and go online for the ones you can't find but also add those to this repository"?

Any and all advice/"this is how I do it" is welcome.

E: Also for Dell Command: what's the major difference between dcu-cli's /applyUpdates and /driverInstall? One had a few updates vs the other just gave me every basic driver. Should I be using both?
