My 300-headcount company is looking seriously at implementing UKG Pro, and they've told us UKG Pro can write to a hybrid AD environment to update users. I have an IT Director acquaintance at a similar company who started implementing UKG about a year ago who says this has been a huge pain point. He feels the solutions UKG has offered have been extremely costly.

I'm looking for anyone who has had good or bad experiences with setting up UKG as their on-prem AD source of truth, how much time and effort it took, and what the cost was.

We're looking at Connect to AD at about $4,000 a year and a company called Aquera at around $7,000. Both would be reasonable costs to us, but we want to make sure they perform as well as advertised and that there are no hidden costs, additions, or upsells that will bite us later.
