Dell R730XD and idrac

Have a Dell r730 XD and the idrac card constantly reads the fan speeds at 16,870 RPM which of course is maximum RPM for the fans. If They're actually spining that fast, as done when you boot up during POST, you'll hear the rocket ship taking off. I don't hear that, insteadb ih8sounds like the fans are running around 1000-2000RPM. I have upgraded the BIOS on both the idrac and the server chassis with no change. Any thoughts on what else I should do to make those fan RPMs gauges read accurately? Or do I just leave it alone as an erroneous response?
