It seems like this has been an incredibly successful month for the rebels. They broke the siege of Aleppo and simultaneously seized one of the most heavily fortified regime bases in the city, they seized Jarabalus and hundreds of square kilometers along the western banks of the Euphrates, they seized Helfaya and Taibat al-Imam in northern Hama in TWO (!!!) days, and they've inflicted the worst losses on Assad forces in terms of men and material than in any other period of the war to date.
What do you think is the reason for the turn-around in the war for the rebels? Is it their unity? Greater material support? Turkey's intervention? Some sort of backdoor Turkish-Russian deal? Or is it more so regime attrition / exhaustion and perhaps withering Iranian / Hezbollah support?
