Why does my hardware sound bad?

Just picked up a UMC404HD today since I didn't have an audio interface prior. Audio coming from my pc sounds fine but as soon as I try recording or playing any of my hardware through the audio interface it sounds like utter dogshit. Here's a video of me playing samples from my sp404. The sample is extremely distorted and slowed, is this a sample rate issue? I'm so tired of setting this up, I need help lol
