What I would like to do is have the Rytm be the master clock, but be able to control both the Rytm and Volca Bass using the sequencer and arpeggiator on the Keystep. I want the Rytm to be the master clock as the Arturia doesn't have a tempo display.
I'm a total noob when it comes to this, but I am assuming the Volca sync pulse is just for tempo, so I would have to use its midi in. I'm assuming I set the Keystep to sync to midi clock, run midi out from the Rytm to the Keystep, then midi in from the keystep back to the Rytm, then midi through from the Rytm to the Volca? I can get the Keystep to communicate with both the Rytm and Volca this way but there doesn't seem to be transport sync sent to the Volca (I am getting tempo sync).
I love the Rytm but I'm finding the Keystep and Volca very frustrating, but I likely just have to figure them out and get used to them.
**edit: kind of solved**, the only way I could get the tempo and transport to sync in any way between the three devices was to use the Keystep as the master clock, which isn't so bad as the tempo adjusts on the Rytm display as you change it from the Keystep.
