I sold my monologue when I got a minilogue, possibly a bit quickly, since I miss the ultra-bass-machine, but I didn't have room for it in my live setup, and I've been trying to slim down, so it's ok.
Anyway, to try and get back some of that massive room shaking bass that I had before, I've been using my electribe volca kick together like this:
- Volca kick is plugged into midi out of the electribe.
- Sustain turned on on the kick
- Kick and part 1 of the electribe are 12 semitones out from each other
- Part 1 on the electribe is a pulse width wave with cutoff turned down a bit
- Kick has drive up, tone down and bend off
- Play pads on the electribe and you get a blend of the pulse width wave (for bite) and the volca (for massive sinusoidal sub bass)
It's not exactly the same as the monologue, but it's 90% of the room shaking bass with one tiny volca module instead of adding a whole other keyboard to my live set.
