amateur question: Can I sequence different melodies on top of each other with one synth?
Post Body

let's say hypothetically that I currently have a Novation MiniNova and an Arturia beatstep pro.

Could I sequence two different melody patterns on top of each other from only the one keyboard?

so it would sound like two different keyboards are playing. would I destroy the sound that way?

also, if I have a pattern sequenced, could I still play the keys on top without destroying the sound?

I basically want two different melodies playing, while I play keys on top.

Should I be using a sequencer for this or maybe a looping device instead?
