(After googling about, didn't find this on a phatty forum, which is maybe okay because maybe a more general CV question?).
So having enjoyed my Slim Phatty for a couple months via MIDI, ready to take first explore into CV, using a couple home-built LFOs (confirmed safely in -/ 5 voltage range!).
But there seems to be something basic I'm missing. I understand that Moog (and other synths) use TRS connectors, with the Ring supplying 5V that returns via the Tip, for use with a pedal, and that this is replaced for incoming CV.
What I don't understand is where the incoming signal is applied when it's from an external source. Tip for signal, Sleeve for External Source's Ground, Ring... floats? grounded? Etc. Just guessing, really. Most of the tutorials out there for (say) plugging a Eurotrack into a Phatty seem to assume everyone knows where the signal is running... what are the basic basics here? Sorry if I missed an obvious tutorial out there.
