Small shared space furniture advice request
Post Body

Hello all

I'm looking for recommendations on stow-away/foldable synth storage and use furniture and paraphernalia. There is no space for a studio where I live and I need to share the available space with my partner's hobbies - means needing to share the same table surface.

  1. I am interested in buying a foldable table or desk piece easily available online, but I feel that I'm not looking in the right places. I've eyed some nice foldable tables from IKEA and some other local stores here in Switzerland.

  2. I am also looking for a way to avoid the constant put-away and full re-cabling of gear when the space needs to be otherwise used.

I initially started with a pedal board case which worked well last year until GAS took over. I've now stopped getting new gear and can focus on efficient layout/storage.

Ideally I want a pair of 2-levels flat-base desktop stands, something like this perhaps, where I can velcro stuff on and move things around. Maybe paired with a desk with enough below storage space to put the synths away when not in use?

I have semi-modular desktop synths, nothing big. The largest box is a Twin Tropiques Anti Rave, but I have many more smaller boxes from Error Instruments, Bastl, some things off of Thonk and Tindie as well, plus more FX pedals than I need...

Would anyone have any other smarter storage solutions for small available space? Please share your experience, I'm looking for inspiration.

I've also been looking for small spaces to rent around me, but none available close enough.
