Looking to buy my first hardware synth. It will primarily be a gift to my girlfriend who has never produced before, but I will also be using it with the aim that we can produce together (acid/techno/electro etc). I know a decent amount about synth programming already and my main reasons for buying hardware is A) to make it easier to teach, B) to limit my options and really get me thinking about pushing the sounds I can get from the synth, and C) get great sounding leads and basses.
I've been shopping around and the Vermona mono lancet 15 looks like a great option - sturdy, simple and good sounds from what I can gather. Wondered if anyone else had thoughts about this vs similar synths like the dark energy? Budget around £400/£500, not looking for something entry level as I don't want to upgrade again in a years time, but also not looking for super high end atm.
Thanks! :)
