I've enabled the recycle bin in Synology's settings for my "Media" shared folder where Sonarr manages my TV series, and any files I manually delete do show up in there as expected.
But I've noticed that Sonarr has made the unfortunate decision to delete older copies of episodes when it thinks it found a better quality version (and there doesn't seem to be an option to change this). This is mostly fine, but can be frustrating if the newer copy is wrong or misidentified by Sonarr which chose to replace a different file under a different series.
I have Sonarr running in Docker (linuxserver/sonarr), with its PUID set to that of a restricted account called "docker-user", which has read/write permission in the Media folder.
How is Sonarr able to delete any files from my Media folder without them appearing in the recycle bin? Is there a way to prevent Sonarr from irrevocably deleting files? Is there a way to fix Synology's recycle bin setting so that it doesn't miss any deleted files?
