I've got myself a 6TB WD Red SMR drive, now what?
Post Body

Following the revelation that WD have quietly begun shipping SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) disks, I decided to check the ones in my DS918 .

Unfortunately I appear to have one of them, in a single SHR1 storage pool.

Given that it's too old to return, I don't have the budget to replace it and I don't have the storage free to pull it, is there anything that I can reasonably do?
