ok, here's my scenario
Spun up a 218play with single 8 TB HD 2 years ago.
Fast forward to present day, starting to run out of drive space, so I buy another 8TB HD, mount it and then add to Volume 1 (like a dope, keep reading, lol)
volume1 was setup initially with SHR...so imagine my surprise that after the consistency checks finish, it added my 2nd disk to the SHR for reduncy, thus keeping same amount of space left
Removed 2nd disk for volume 1, reset it as its own JBOD setup, transfer everything from volume1 to volume 2
Of course, now Volume 1 is showing degraded, SHR
End goal would be to have 1 single 16TB volume from the 2 8TB drives
So my question: Is it safe to add disk from Vol1 (after removing vol1 and storage pool 1 from storage manager) to Vol2 under JBOD format or am I stuck removing all and reformating both disks as Raid 0?
Vol1 has the home folders and all too, will I hurt my cause nuking it?
