Ventilating a Room Crammed with Synology's
Post Body

So I have an interesting problem that maybe reddit can solve.

I am building a server room filled with Synology Disk Stations. I have 22 12-bay units, and 22 4-bay units (and growing) in a window-less 11' by 11' room. This obviously generates a lot of heat in a small space, so I need a way to vent the room. I'm considering buying a bathroom exhaust fan on Amazon and sticking it in the ceiling but I have no idea how many CFM (cubic feet/minute) I will need. The range of ventilating power (and price) you can purchase is huge. Is there any way to quantify how much heat this many Synology's will generate? I can't seem to find the CFM specs for the Synology fans. Thanks in advance!

Specifics:

6 DS3617xs 12-bay NAS

6 DS2415 12-bay NAS

10 DX1215 12-bay expansion units

22 DS415 4-bay NAS
