Using DS413J while expanding volume?

I've added a third 4TB hard drive (2 existing 4TB, the third giving me 8 TB of usable storage with 4TB backup) to my Synology and I expected it to take around 12ish hours to finish expanding like the previous hard drive did. However, after 14ish hours I'm only at 22%.

As for the files on it: only about 1.8 GB of the storage is currently being used.

My real question is should I leave it alone completely or can I still use it while it expands? I store all my movies on it so it'd be nice to be able to watch them but I don't mind waiting if I have to.
