Where to go during Xmas and NY?

Finishing my degree so finally some free time ahead for this Xmas and new year break. Wonder any recommendations for places to visit or travel either within Sydney or interstate ? Ideally not that crowded and pricy though I know might be a bit unrealistic lol TIA!
