Are crafting skills worth bothering with in 4.0?
Post Body

I played for 2 months back at launch, but for all intents and purposes am starting fresh with an extra million credits and a few legacy skills.

Everything I read about crafting crew skills makes it seem like they're not worth bothering with. I loved my reusable medpac from Biochem way back when but it seems those are gone now.

Should I just go with Splicing and two gathering skills at this point? Are there reasonable benefits to being a crafter for any of the skills, like the old reusable medpacs? I'm mostly playing solo, don't intend to do serious operations and whatnot.
