Returning player here. Have only made DPS (and one healer) toon but have decided that I want to learn tanking properly. I've looked up some guides but when trying to gear my level 80 Vanguard Shield specialist, something isn't quite right.

I've done the Hyde and Zeek prototype 336 quest, so I have all the mods and enhancements available for that (I think).

There must be something I'm doing incorrectly because I cannot figure out how to achieve a decent stat priority. After equipping a full set of armor with mods along with 3 gold 77 augments (two shield, one absorb) I end up with something like this:

Shield chance 48% Absorb 31% Defense rating 7600 Around 13 k damage

I want to end at least 50 % shield chance, but also over 40 absorb, but how on earth do I achieve that? Outfitting everything with gold augments doesn't cut it, and there is not enough space for enhancements. And also, should I worry at all about accuracy or alacrity? If so the process becomes even more conplicated.

Mathematician tanks of Swtor, help me equip a good tank and I'll be forever grateful.

Tldr: how to achieve a decent stat distribution for Vanguard Shield specialist tank? My number are low even with 336 mods.
