Because of this, it would leave our viewers vulnerable to anyone being able to create a new account and post to immediately.

Reddit has rolled out a new ban evasion technology and we have adopted it wholeheartedly. This also has the side effect that real people that have historically been banned for violating our rules will be caught on their new accounts.
