I bought some Leisure Time Spa chlorine and it says I should be adding it until it reaches 2-3 ppm. Some places it says free residual chlorine and most places it says residual chlorine. Everything I see online seems to indicate residual chlorine is the opposite of free chlorine so I *think* residual chlorine is the same as combined chlorine. I have a Taylor K-2005 test kit and I am doing a DPD test that measures free chlorine and then total chlorine. Then combined chlorine by subtracting the free from the total.
So what is the chlorine manufacturer really telling me to target at 2-3ppm?
