I know these post probably get annoying for you veteran pool masters but I feel like my readings are always all over the place.
Post Body

Ok so after going to the pool shop they told me TDS: 2200 (what is tds?) Ph:7.2 total alk:103 optimizer: 30 free chlorine:0.3 total chlorine 0.4 cya:149 12400 gallon pool. Temps have been high.

They told me to add 9.5lbs of balance pak 100 divided into thirds 6hrs apart. That I would need to lower ph once done. And to add 1.25 lbs of super soluble. I did all the above (1/3 of the alk and chlorine added as I was planning on using the pool the next day) and tested the pool in the morning alk was pretty close to what you see in this test strip which is from this morning along with every thing else. Testing chlorine it’s at .5free and 1combined using Taylor test kit k-2006 ph at 7.2 alk at 160 total alk (CaCO3)

Am I over thinking all this? Water looks fantastic and when I put in a packet (1lb) bio guard smart chick the chlorine on the strip turns purple. Thanks in advance for any help
