Hayward vs raypak natural gas heater ?
Post Body

I have a 13x20 above ground pool so nothing too fancy. I bought a raypak 156 heater 2 years ago. It worked amazing but it started leaking midway through the first season. They fixed it under warranty so silly me I didn't think to ask what was wrong with it.. half way through the second season of course it started leaking again. They say it's the heat exchanger and it's not under warranty anymore. Cost to repair is almost the same as a replacement so that's a no brainer..

The question is do I replace with another raypak even though they only seem to last about a year? A Hayward of the same btu will run me almost $1000.. will it last longer ?
