Small black specs fiberglass
Post Body

In my fiberglass pool (1 month old), I have these small black dots. I'm not able to brush them off and my robot vaccum doesn't get them either. However, I can get most of them if I scratch them with my nail.

Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it? It's fiberglass, so it would be odd if it was algae, right?

You will have to scrub all that off, and use your choice of a black algae remover. Iโ€™m not real familiar with a fiberglass pool, we donโ€™t have any on our route.

That looks like the start of black algae. You need to get it cleared up ASAP. Had the filter been cleaned?
