Name: Jaysh Vand
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Homeworld: Axum, Axum System
Rank: Ensign
Role: Deck Division, Line Branch
Physique: Jaysh stands at 5'9" tall, with black hair cut to military length and dark blue eyes.
Background: Jaysh was born on Axum, and raised by a middle class family in one of Axums many cities. Growing up Jaysh was heavily influenced by the stories of the old Azure Imperium, and sought to uphold the legacy that he saw as his birthright. Due to his relative physical frailty, Jaysh protected himself at school and in the city by gaining the favor of those higher than himself, either through friendship or, if necessary, blackmail. However, Jaysh soon found himself on the receiving end of his own tactics, having gotten involved with a Spice smuggling ring at the behest of a friend. When called to a base of the ring, Jaysh found himself staring at the barrel of a blaster, his friend explaining that the head no longer had a use for Jaysh, and ordered his death. Shocked and paralyzed at the unexpected betrayal, Jaysh stood in shock, until his friend told him that he would spare him if Jaysh fled, faking his death and moving offworld, with no other choice Jaysh complied, never forgetting this betrayal and keeping two creeds in mind, that with enough power anything is possible, and that one must always have some use.
Moving off world and gaining a new identity proved to be a shock for Jaysh, who claimed to now be from the extinct Axumite Noble family the Vands. After traveling for a few months toward the end of the war with the separatists, Jaysh arrived on Coruscant in time for the creation of the Galactic Empire, and applauded the move especially the Pro-Human legislation that followed. Deciding the best way to gain favor in this new Empire would be through its large military, Jaysh joined the Imperial Navy and due to the power behind the Vand name was able to join officer school. Though he was unable to gain entry to the Academy of Carida, he was able to garner favor with his instructors at the Corulag Academy and received a posting on the HMS Evictus out in the Outer Rim, a perfect spot to gain experience and possibly rank, though he personally wanted a posting in the Core Territories to avoid contact with aliens and to gain favor with higher officers.
Personality: Jaysh believes in pure power, believing in the old saying of "Might Makes Right" and therefore that he needs to gain as much power as possible. Jaysh is two faced, willing to pay lip service to anyone in order to advance himself, and owing loyalty to the person who can bring him the most power. Due to being raised in the Core Jaysh has a heavily Human-centric personality, evolving into him becoming a Human Supremacist, and believing that the failure of the Old Republic was allowing aliens into its governing body. Jaysh acts like the normal Axumite while around superior officers, being polite and respectable, but around those he deems weaker than himself is rude and dismissive.
Strengths:
Calm and collected under normal circumstances
Tends to plan actions out before hand
Manipulative
Willing to do whatever necessary to succeed
Weaknesses:
Underestimates non-humans
Not adept at personal combat
Does not account for outside interferences in his plans
Loses his cool when his plans do not succeed
Views everyone other than himself as expendable.
