I'm in my 30s. Gotten to see almost everything I love that's possible to see. Swans was a major bucket list band for me. I just missed them every time I had the opportunity to. Some bands seem to forever keep a younger fanbase. I saw Patti Smith last year and was the youngest by far, I was really surprised. First time seeing slowdive the crowd was older, then last year I was shocked at all of the teens there. I know shoegaze, and noisy/reverb music in general is in vogue right now. Anyways, I was expecting a much older crowd sprinkled with young punks and goths. I was shocked to see so many teens and younger people there. Is swans popular or something with the youths? I was seeing something on here about Michael Gira being a meme or something? I'm clueless though.
Swans ruled live by the way. My 15 years of wonder did not match the actual experience. Other than the Holocaust section of you made me realize, it was the most intense live music experience ever.
