Hey y'all, I didn't really find much in the grammar books I was using but I was curious on how subordinate clauses work in Kiswahili;
So, there's kwamba, ya kuwa, & kama which all translate to "that" (I know there are other meanings, but I'm focusing on this context)
E.g., I think (that)... E.g., I want.... E.g., he wanted me to do.... Etc.
(Ni)nafikiri kwamba anaweza kusema lugha tatu.
I wanted him to see the animals in the Serengeti.
Nilitaka kwamba anawaona wanyama katika Serengeti.
Nilitaka kujua kama ninaweza kununua kitabu hiki hapa. - I wanted to know if(whether) I can buy this book here.
