I never understood Sushi— I was someone who had it and Sashimi muddled in their mind. A week of tempura shrimp roll (the shrimp hadn’t been peeled before battering/frying and my friend couldn’t discern what it was and roped me in) followed by Spam® musubi my Thai coworker had made, wrapped up with her sharing dim sum on the next day led me down the foodie rabbit hole 🐇 🕳️ of SUSHI. This was my very first foray: simple Spam® maki rolls. The roll in the second slide suffered from slicing with a dirty, dull knife 😕but lesson learned!
