I've just been watching the "Dan episode" in Island of the Idols, and Elizabeth and Missy are disgraceful

Firstly for using something as serious as this for their personal gain in the game, disgusting behaviour. It was something they both knew genuinely affected Kelley and they instead used it for their games to pull votes.

On top of that, its damaging to Dan both in the game and in real life, as they were making false accusations on global television.

But on top of that its just shitting on woman who have been in this situation in the past in their own lives, essentially jovialising the struggles people go through every day with this kind of issue.

Yes, Dan acted badly in many respects, but I can only feel for players like Kelley and Janet who tried to do the right thing to protect themselves and others, and the way Elizabeth and Missy handled it was honestly no short of sickening.

Edit: should clarify on one of my points, "its damaging to Dan both in the game and in real life" which I was called out on in the comments so I'll just paste my response here to avoid confusion...

My point was, if those accusations were false from Missy and Elizabeth, in the sense that they weren't actually being made to feel uncomfortable by Dan and were only saying it progress themselves in the game, it would've been a really shitty thing to do as that could have repercussions in his real life and the game.

Don't get me wrong Dan is a piece of shit for what he was doing, but if these false accusations hadn't subsequently been substantiated by the actual true accusations then it would've been a very shitty thing to do.

I can see how that came across badly though so my bad!

Edit 2: completely agree that production handled it appallingly, even the Kelley confessional where we hear the producer talks to her is such a shit attempt at helping, he clearly had no idea how to actually help in that situation.

As sad as that whole situation is, I really hope its a learning experience for all reality tv production in the future!

And final edit: I made this post because theres already been so much attention on how bad Dan and production were on this season, and not enough on how badly some of the other players acted around the situation!

Big takeaway: Janet is an angel and this world doesn't deserve her and she better get to play again, Kelley is a gem who also hopefully gets to play again in the future
