Post Body

I have been using Surfshark’s VPN and dedicated IP for 1-2 months. The first few weeks started off okay but since then I have had issues with both. I cannot access most sites without being forced into a CAPTCHA which really hinders my ability to surf multiple sites. I contacted Surf shark customer service about the issue and they told me that they are unsure of how long the issue will take to resolve. Additionally they told me that because I am past the 30 day return window I can’t receive a refund.

So, after paying for a two year subscription for both the VPN and dedicated IP, and neither of them working properly for more than two months, I am being forced to pay for a defective product. I have even offered to pay for the time I have used the product and receive a refund for the difference and they are still not willing to budge. I have spent more than an hour trying to reason with them about unreasonable this is and all of I’ve been told is they’ll escalate it to their developers and get back to me. They also quoted the terms of service to me as a means to justify that they can sell a defective product and still expect me to pay.

I would recommend spending just a little extra money to go with a vpn with a better reputation, better customer service, and more honest business practices. I realize they may be known for their speeds and the number of locations they have, but that is more than canceled out by the constant CAPTCHA and having to switch locations to find one that is functioning properly.
