Do you ever ride a 2+1 on your logger? If so, why?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the three fins help grip the wave for more speed… the single fin helps stability for nose riding. Is that right?
I have a 9’6 that I ride to learn better cross-stepping. But I often find myself pumping on waves to get speed because it’s such a habit 🤣 waves are like 1-3ft Hawaiian so not big. Thinking of slapping on a 2 1 so I can have more speed and can turn sharper (?) As I cross-step back
